Working Groups
The working groups are structured around particle types and the physics that they probe. Each group has three to four conveners with experimental and theory conveners familiar with the topic and an “observer”. The observer is to provide more general input to the process, assist in engaging other communities and bring a broader perspective to the working group. The conveners are responsible for organizing the efforts of the working group and the group’s contribution to the workshop report. Further information on the activities of the working groups can be found on each group’s homepage.
Heavy Quarks
Conveners: Joel Butler (FNAL), Zoltan Ligeti (LBNL), Ritchie Patterson (Cornell) and Jack Ritchie (Texas)
This working group will study the physics opportunities associated with the copious production of heavy quarks (bottom, charm and strange).

Charged Leptons
Conveners: Brendan Casey (FNAL), Yuval Grossman (Cornell) and Aaron Roodman (SLAC)
This working group will study the physics opportunities associated with rare processes involving charged leptons as well as precision measurements of their properties.

Neutrinos
Conveners: Andre deGouvea (Northwestern), Kevin Pitts (Illinois), Kate Scholberg (Duke) and Sam Zeller (FNAL)
This working group will study the physics opportunities associated with neutrino oscillations as well as neutrinoless double beta decay.

Hidden Sector Photons, Axions, and WISPS
Conveners: Juan Collar (Chicago), Rouven Essig (Stonybrook) and John Jaros (SLAC)
This working group will study new light particles that interact only weakly with ordinary matter but could solve several long-standing mysteries, including the nature of Dark Matter and Dark Energy, as well as the strong CP problem. These particles could be detected with intense electron, photon, or proton beams.

Conveners: Chip Brock (Michigan State), Chang-Kee Jung (Stonybrook) and Carlos Wagner (ANL and UofC)
This working group will study the physics opportunities associated with proton decay.

Nucleons / Nuclei / Atoms
Conveners: Wick Haxton (Berkeley), Zheng-Tian Lu (ANL) and Michael Ramsey-Musolf (Wisconsin)
This working group will study the physics opportunities associated with precision measurements of the properties of nucleons, nuclei and atoms.
